Filming Blog 2

Filming was a pretty smooth process for  the most part. The second time we wet out felt better than the first time. The second time felt better because we came with an actual plan. The first time we  filmed it was more improvising than anything else. We did the entire song over again the second day. We did this to have more film the more the better.

When filming we chose to play the song out loud. This helped my partner sing easier because he would know the words better. We made the song the clean version. This was done to make sure it was school appropriate. If the principal see's a video with us curing we would be in much trouble.  When recording my partner lip synced his part. when we edit the song will be playing in the background.

We had plenty of scenes filmed. We felt confident that we had enough scenes filmed. This was because we had been filming for over an hour to get exactly what we needed. We honestly think with our editing skills and  the amount of time we put into our video will be very good. Lastly, we just have to edit and we will be finished finally.

Filming Blog 1

Over the Thanksgiving break is when we chose to film. It took us a total of 2 days to complete the film. This ended up giving us about 10 minutes of film because the park security told us to go home. So we ended up coming back on Saturday. This was because my partner had plans on Friday. That is why we chose that day.
We ended up meeting up again and started to film. We deciding it would be best if one person filmed the other singing. We felt that having two people sing a song by one person would be off topic and not really make sense. We came to the conclusion that I would record because I am better with the camera and my partner would be the rapper.
We wanted to be smart. we chose to shoot in the afternoon so it wasn't to cold. Also we had good lighting. Since we were unsuccessful in filming the first day we chose to be smart. we did this by coming back and finishing filming. Honestly it was very tiring. But my partner wore two different outfits because when rap videos cut the effect of the different outfits will look great.

Editing blog

Today, our editing blog is due. I wasn’t here at school but my partner said he started     Today, our editing blog is due. My partner isn't here today but I edited the video so it should be fine. I'm going to send the video Sunday so I won't have to worry about being behind . My partner and I have worked diligently on this video so I'm sure is going to be a “hit” or "banger".

The editing software we used was filmora because in my own opinion, filmora is the best editing software in the game. It's not only advanced, it's simple and easy to use. we added some amazing effects to the video because I bout the lifetime oack for filmora and I'm not letting it go to waste. Filmora makes everything very easy to edit. We filmed alot so we went over the videos over and over to see what I want. After doing this We imported the clips we wanted. We then cut the videos and add transitions. Lastly, , We added the effects that made the video better. Since rap video are often filmed raw, I used more jump cuts than transition so it won't look like a power point.

This was all We did for my editing. We just realized the video is longer than the recommended time so we might have to cut it but it looks goofy However, this makes the video better because I added all the things I needed to make the video look amazing. But We got it done so We are good.

Planning Blog

Today my partner and I will be doing our planning blog. We have two blogs due and we will do this one first.

Locaton- The location is going to be at the park. We chose this because it's the easiest location to meet up at and shoot the video. Also the park is a public area so we dont have to ask permission to shoot our video. the park can also fit into the music video because it's just an open area. We might have different ideas for the location but this is the location for now. Also the scene is perfect for the song we have

Health and Safety-  since it's cold outside, we will definitely wear jackets. Since we are from Florida we hate the cold weather. We're going to get to the park car. There's probably going to be people at the park so safety shouldn't be a worry. The weather is the only thing against us right now. It's so cold right now. Hopefully the weather won’t affect how well the video is performed. In conclusion, jackets are a necessity for this video.

Props- props won't be needed in the video because rap videos dont really have props. Rap videos are usually shot raw and uncut. The thing that makes the rap video is the emotion and movement of the actor or rapper.

Costumes- are costumes will be normal but clean cloths. Most rappers dress casually and comfortably in their videos because rappers rap about thier everyday lifestyle. As a result they dress how they usually dress everyday or when they want to dress casual. We won't be matching because thats weird. The only thing we're going to be wearing that's the same are jackets.

Schedule-  whenever we're ready to film our video we'll call and meet at the park.

Story board Blog

My partner and are doing our storyboard blog. At first, the blog seemed complicated but our teachers explained the blog to a tea, literally.

The video takes place in the park.  The camera angles and shots(cams)we will be using ate low angles, high angles, close shots, and medium shots.

The first scene is a close shot at the back of the actors head. I will make a title in this scene to make it an opening scene. When the beat dtops, the first scene will transition to the second scene where the actor is on a slide rapping. Next the third scene is where the song gets more up beat so the actor is shown in a long shot dancing to the song and rapping.

The fourth scene  is shown to be like the other but in a different area in the park. However, this scene is a high angle so the actor is looking up at the camera. Next, the fifth scene is a low angle of the actor getting hype and rapping on the stairs while looking down at the camera. Finally, the closing scene is the actor at a close eye to eye shot of him looking down as the music dies down.
